Keep Your Pets Safe This 4th of July 🇺🇸
While the 4th of July is a time for celebration, it can be one of the most stressful days of the year for our pets. Loud fireworks, unfamiliar visitors, and hot weather can all be overwhelming for dogs and cats. At Scoop’d, we care about keeping your pets safe and comfortable—not just in the yard, but all year long.
Here are a few steps to help you prepare:
🎆 1. Create a Safe Indoor Space
Designate a quiet room where your pet can retreat. Add their bed, toys, and some background noise like a TV or white noise machine to help block out fireworks.
🐾 2. Get Exercise Early
Give your dog a long walk earlier in the day to burn off energy and reduce anxiety later.
🧼 3. Update ID Tags & Microchips
Make sure your pet’s tags are readable and contact info is up to date. In case they get spooked and run off, this could be lifesaving.
🍖 4. Skip the Table Scraps
Many BBQ favorites like onions, bones, and alcohol are harmful to pets. Stick to pet-safe treats only!
💊 5. Talk to Your Vet
If your pet has severe anxiety, your vet may recommend calming treats or medication to help them get through the night.
By planning ahead, you can make this Independence Day safe and stress-free for your furry family members.
From all of us at Scoop’d, have a happy and safe 4th of July!
